We are looking for a talented leader to oversee the development, distribution, and strategic efforts of creating messaging to inform and delight audiences.
This is a critical role in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization and requires a high-energy person that can operate in a dynamic environment and manage a team. You will play an integral role in expanding our company’s brand identity and awareness through compelling content and marketing initiatives, while working cross-functionally with our various teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and execution of Luminary’s marketing and digital content strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Manage a small team of 2-3 content and marketing professionals.
- Report directly to the CEO, acting as the bridge between marketing and cross-functional department leads
- Oversee content creation for Luminary team members, including programming, events, memberships, and corporate teams, across all digital channels: ensuring quality, consistency, and strategic intent.
- Develop and enforce marketing systems, workflows, tools, and content calendars to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
- Develop short-term and long-term content marketing strategy and manage a weekly/monthly content calendar.
- Create and manage distribution across all content channels, including print, website, landing pages, email, paid advertising, organic social, etc.
- Create and repurpose content in multiple formats including videos, blogs, social posts, one pagers, newsletters, etc.
- Work with Luminary members (corporate and individual) to create and distribute joint content and success stories that highlight Luminary’s unique value proposition.
- Ensure capture of necessary assets, such as photos, videos, interviews, during Luminary events and partnerships to use in content creation and distribution.
- Manage company website, landing pages, and blog, as well as presence of Luminary across partner and industry websites, to ensure content and brand are consistent and optimized to attract site visitors via organic or paid search.
- Deploy your knowledge of SEO and CRO (conversion rate optimization) to ensure our target audiences are able to find Luminary and convert into members and corporate partners.
- Monitor and report on content marketing metrics/insights and show continuous improvement of the content strategy based on analytics.
- Ensure all content is on-point and on-brand, error-free, consistent in style, and optimized for both search and user experience across all channels including print, web, social, and email.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and shifts in the marketing landscape to identify and act on new growth opportunities.
- Ensure integrated marketing efforts across platforms (social, email, web, etc.) reflect company priorities and initiatives.
- Introduce and manage project management tools and best practices to improve team collaboration and delivery.
Qualifications include:
- 5-10 years of experience in engagement marketing, content marketing or similar roles, demonstrating a clear understanding of social media strategy, content creation, and digital marketing.
- Creativity and passion for leveraging content to drive brand creation and awareness, as well as member acquisition and retention.
- Knowledge of how to scale content creation, distribute across various platforms, optimize for paid or organic search, and engage target audience.
- A hands-on mentality and eagerness to drive content creation and execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with hands-on mentality and eagerness to drive content creation and execution for various platforms.
- Analytical mind that understands how to leverage data and engagement tools to evaluate content performance and audience engagement and growth.
- Strong project management skills including the ability to independently manage multiple projects and complete projects within budget and on time.
- Knowledge of asset use in marketing campaigns, social media, etc. as well as SEO, SEM, and CRO tactics to improve exposure and success of content.
- Experience with marketing automation tools and content management systems such as Hubspot.

- The role is located in New York City and has a requirement to be in the office approximately three days a week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
