Position: Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist
Classification: Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Position Overview
The Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist supports the Regional Chamber's marketing, communications and brand initiatives through graphic design, digital content creation, social media management, email marketing, website maintenance and event promotion. This position works collaboratively with Chamber departments to develop engaging communications that advance organizational goals, strengthen member engagement and promote Chamber programs, events and services.
Core Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Publications
- Design and produce Chamber publications and marketing materials, including advertisements, brochures, flyers, event invitations, programs, signature event magazines and other collateral.
- Coordinate production schedules and facilitate printing through outside vendors as needed.
- Ensure consistency with Chamber branding and visual standards across all materials.
Social Media
- Develop and execute social media content strategies that support Chamber programs, events and initiatives.
- Manage and maintain Chamber social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and other relevant platforms.
- Create and maintain a content calendar and posting schedule.
- Monitor engagement and comments and respond to or escalate inquiries as appropriate.
- Capture and share timely event content to increase audience engagement.
Marketing & Communications
- Develop and maintain marketing schedules for Chamber programs, events and initiatives.
- Collaborate with staff across departments to identify and promote organizational priorities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns.
Email Marketing
- Compile, write, edit and design the Chamber's twice-monthly electronic newsletter using email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
- Create and distribute additional electronic communications, including event reminders, departmental newsletters and special announcements.
- Monitor email performance metrics and recommend improvements when appropriate.
Website Management
- Develop and implement a schedule to update and maintain the Regional Chamber website.
- Create, edit and post website content to ensure accuracy, timeliness and consistency.
- Coordinate with staff to keep program, event and member information current.
Other Duties
- Provide marketing and communications support to the Director of Marketing and Executive Vice President, Membership, Events & MarComm.
- Maintain photo, video and publication archives.
- Provide photography and social media coverage at Chamber events.
- Support the Events, Membership, Government Affairs and Chamber Foundation teams as needed.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design or related field.
- Experience developing marketing materials, digital communications and promotional campaigns preferred.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong experience managing organizational social media platforms.
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Sitefinity or similar platforms.
- Experience with association management systems (AMS) or CRM platforms, such as Novi AMS, Salesforce or similar systems, preferred.
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in graphic design, photography, videography and advertising preferred.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and digital marketing best practices preferred.
Work Environment & Schedule
This part-time position may require occasional attendance at Chamber events during early mornings and evenings. Reliable transportation is required for attendance at off-site meetings and events.
Performance Standards
Performance will be evaluated based on achievement of established goals and objectives, quality and timeliness of work, effectiveness of marketing and communications efforts, collaboration with staff and support of Chamber strategic priorities.
Evaluation & Review Process
Performance is ordinarily reviewed annually through a professional development and evaluation process facilitated by the Director of Marketing. The review process includes goal setting, performance feedback and opportunities for professional growth.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
