Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and drive brand growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various marketing disciplines, including performance marketing, email marketing, and marketing automation. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends, develop comprehensive marketing strategies, and oversee the execution of campaigns across multiple channels.

A Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to attract visitors to a festival, utilizing various channels like digital marketing, social media, public relations, advertising, and promotions, while analyzing data to optimize campaigns and maximize attendance, aligning with the park's overall brand and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans aligned with festival goals, including target audience segmentation, pricing strategies, and promotional calendar.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and guest insights to inform marketing decisions.
  • Analyze historical data to forecast attendance and revenue, identifying potential growth areas.
  • Campaign Development and Execution:
  • Create and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital platforms (website, social media), traditional media (print, TV), and in-park promotions.
  • Develop compelling messaging and creative assets that resonate with target audiences, including families, groups, and seasonal events.
  • Manage budget allocation for marketing campaigns, tracking ROI and optimizing performance.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise:
  • Oversee website content management, SEO optimization, and paid advertising strategies.
  • Leverage social media platforms to engage with guests, build community, and promote park experiences.
  • Implement email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and drive ticket sales.
  • Public Relations and Media Management:
  • Develop and execute PR strategies to generate positive media coverage for the park.
  • Manage media inquiries, press releases, and media partnerships.
  • Collaborate with park operations to identify newsworthy events and experiences.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
  • Analyze guest data to identify patterns and personalize marketing efforts.
  • Develop loyalty programs and targeted promotions to enhance guest retention and repeat visitation.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, including digital marketers, graphic designers, and marketing coordinators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments like park operations, entertainment, and sales to ensure alignment with marketing strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience in marketing within the entertainment or hospitality industry, preferably theme parks
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and platforms
  • Excellent analytical skills to measure campaign performance and interpret data
  • Creative thinking and ability to develop engaging marketing materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Project management skills to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously

  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for designing compelling visual content that supports marketing efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of marketing innovation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role with a strong emphasis on analytics and research.
  • Expertise in performance marketing strategies and email marketing best practices.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms and tools.
  • Strong budgeting skills with experience managing large-scale marketing budgets.
  • Familiarity with print advertising processes and creative design principles using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML for email design and web content management is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams effectively.
