The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly specialized and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our go-to-market strategy. This role requires a unique combination of expertise in the traditional gaming landscape, a deep understanding of the Web3/blockchain ecosystem, and proven success in cultivating robust online communities through narrative-driven campaigns. You will be the architect of our public voice, translating complex game features and decentralized concepts into engaging, accessible stories.
Key Responsibilities
1. Narrative & Content Strategy (Storytelling)
- Develop and execute a comprehensive narrative marketing strategy that articulates the game's unique value proposition, lore, and ethos to distinct audiences (Web2 gamers, Web3 natives, collectors).
- Own the content calendar and creation process for key channels (blogs, newsletters, social media, press releases), ensuring consistent voice and alignment with the game's evolving story and development milestones.
- Work closely with the design and development teams to identify key story moments and features, turning them into compelling marketing hooks.
2. Web3 & Game Marketing
- Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (paid, earned, owned) for pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases of our game.
- Manage Web3-specific marketing initiatives, including NFT drops, token launches, marketplace promotion, and partnership announcements within the decentralized space.
- Develop clear documentation and educational content that demystifies the benefits and mechanics of our Web3 features for a mainstream gaming audience.
- Analyze key marketing metrics (CAC, ROI, community growth, wallet activity) to optimize performance and inform future strategy.
3. Community Building & Engagement
- Spearhead the strategy for our official community channels (Discord, Telegram, X, Reddit), ensuring they are vibrant, safe, and foster strong, long-term relationships with players and holders.
- Develop and manage ambassador, moderator, and key opinion leader (KOL/KOC) programs to expand our reach and promote decentralized growth.
- Monitor community sentiment and feedback, serving as the critical link between the player base and the development team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive experience in marketing games (PC, console, or mobile).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in the Web3/crypto/NFT space, with a clear understanding of fundamental blockchain concepts (wallets, smart contracts, decentralized governance).
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful narrative-driven marketing campaigns that build brand awareness and loyalty.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts into clear, market-ready copy.
- Demonstrable experience managing and scaling large online communities (e.g., managing Discord servers with thousands of members).
- Familiarity with marketing analytics platforms and Web3 data tools (e.g., Dune Analytics, Nansen, Google Analytics).
- A passion for video games and the future of player-owned digital assets.
Bonus Points
- Experience with tokenomics and communicating complex economic models.
- Prior experience working in an agile or remote development environment.
- Existing network within the gaming or crypto media/influencer space. Or Atleast good at negociating with influncers and already have worked with them.
