Marketing Manager

Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for development and execution of all marketing and promotional activities at RM Lucas. This includes specific responsibilities in support of the Lucas Brand business, the Private Label business, and all activities related to various operations and event planning supporting RM Lucas. This is an individual contributor role but may involve management of some external resources. This role is highly active within the company and will work with and coordinate across multiple functions. This position is in the Alsip office but will include occasional travel.

The ideal candidate understands the construction roofing markets and will have a technical understanding of various coating chemistries such as silicone, SEBS, acrylic and others. This person will think strategically but be organized and efficient in executing tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop a Master Brand Strategy that includes a Lucas Brand and product line sub-brand strategies that emphasize “hero” traits within each chemistry product line. This may include tradename development that drives customer awareness of product application value.
  • Promotional strategy for Lucas Brand that includes effective content, channel support plans, event and calendar planning, digital presence through the website, SEO, and social media platforms that drive qualified leads and growth targets.
  • Private Label business support for customer onboarding, packaging and compliance, and sales support.
  • Operation activities such as label design and optimization, CRM management, RM Lucas company template standardization, tradeshow booth development, promotional demonstration sample plans, and market research initiatives.
  • Manage and align needs with business priorities and manage tasks to ensure projects are completed on time.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in building materials, construction, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to translate complex chemical or technical specifications into clear, value-driven promotional messages.
  • Design Skills: Proficiency in various digital design programs and methods.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines without oversight.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing skills and professional polish to interact with a wide variant of industry associates.
  • Digital Marketing Savy: Current knowledge of social media marketing.

Education/Experience:

Incumbent should have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant experience with 2-5 years of experience.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They will also need to be proficient in Google platforms such as Gmail, Google Meets, Google Calendar, and Google Drive.

Compensation & Benefit Information:

Base Salary Range from $75k/yr to $85k/yr based on individual candidate experience, skill, education and/or qualifications.
