Marketing Manager

Category Manager – Oils & Fats

We're looking to hire a Category Manager for one of our client's in UAE.

Job Purpose

Support the development and execution of the marketing plan and strategy for the assigned category to help achieve business objectives, market share targets, and brand growth while ensuring effective coordination with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Support identification of growth opportunities and contribute to category development and growth initiatives.
  • Provide inputs to business expansion strategies through market insights and competitive analysis (private label business, new market/category entry).
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Marketing reports including Nielsen, EPOS by collecting and analyzing sales data and tracking Marketing budgets.

Process/Operational

  • Assist in preparing the annual marketing plan and support the approval process as per corporate guidelines.
  • Coordinate and support the execution of marketing activities within the approved budget.
  • Monitor marketing spend and report variances, ensuring effective utilization aligned with business targets.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to support new product development, packaging updates, advertising campaigns, and consumer promotions.
  • Gather and communicate market feedback, highlighting opportunities, threats, and performance insights.
  • Coordinate with research agencies to obtain market data, competitive intelligence, and consumer insights for decision-making.
  • Support regional sales teams in planning and implementing consumer promotions to ensure proper execution in assigned markets while validating value chains, price indexing and price offers.
  • Assist in defining customer feedback mechanisms and reporting findings to support strategy improvements.
  • Maintain organized processes, documentation, and tracking of all marketing activities and campaigns.
  • Prepare reports and action plans by collecting and analyzing sales data (Primary sales, Secondary sales, Nielsen & EPOS).
  • Follow-up and track all projects across multiple categories in Oils & Fats portfolio.

People

  • Support skills development initiatives within the marketing and sales teams by sharing relevant insights and tools.
  • Cross functional team coordination to ensure timely execution of all marketing programs.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, preferably with a Marketing specialization.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing or related roles.
