Position Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive membership growth, brand awareness, and member engagement for the gym. This role requires a creative, data-driven marketer who understands the fitness industry and can effectively promote gym services, classes, and promotions across various channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Campaigns:
- Develop and execute marketing plans to attract new members and retain current ones.
- Plan and manage promotional campaigns (e.g. new member offers, referral programs, seasonal specials).
- Align marketing efforts with business goals and local market demographics.
Digital Marketing & Social Media:
- Manage the gym’s website, social media accounts, and email marketing platforms.
- Create and schedule engaging content (videos, stories, posts, blogs) that aligns with fitness trends and brand identity.
- Monitor performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversion rates) and adjust tactics accordingly.
Community Engagement & Events:
- Plan and coordinate in-gym events, open houses, wellness fairs, and community outreach efforts.
- Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and influencers to boost gym visibility.
Brand Management:
- Ensure all marketing materials (print, digital, in-house signage) reflect consistent branding and messaging.
- Create promotional collateral such as flyers, banners, brochures, and digital ads.
Partnerships & Member Engagement:
- Collaborate with personal trainers, instructors, and front desk staff to promote programs and classes.
- Implement member engagement strategies to increase satisfaction and reduce churn.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Track KPIs related to lead generation, membership conversions, and ROI of marketing efforts.
- Prepare regular performance reports for leadership and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 2–5 years of marketing experience, preferably in fitness, health, or wellness industries.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Google Ads, Canva).
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, lead generation strategies, and membership sales processes.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and passionate about health and fitness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or special events as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $46,840.95 - $56,410.61 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 36 per week
