We are growing and seeking a National Accounts Marketing Manager to help build and execute marketing initiatives that support the unique needs of national retail partners across multiple channels.
Position Summary:
The National Accounts Marketing Manager plays a key role in coordinating the tactical marketing efforts and operational support required to serve Mullican Flooring’s largest national accounts. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day marketing execution for big-box retailers, large flooring chains, and buying groups. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and experience with the behind-the-scenes mechanics of supporting national retail accounts.
Key Responsibilities:Retailer-Facing Marketing Execution:- Manage and deliver national retailer-specific marketing materials across in-store, online and promotional channels.
- Ensure accurate and compliant setup of online item content, including product listings, UPCs, packaging and private-label program requirements.
- Develop and maintain customized content for retailer portals, including product listings, setup forms and digital assets (images, lifestyle photos, specifications and swatches).
- Write and optimize product copy and category descriptions for SEO and enhanced consumer engagement.
- Manage pricing updates, promotional calendars, and digital merchandising to align with retailer strategies.
Cross-Functional Project Coordination:- Work closely with sales, product management, creative, operations, and IT teams to meet retailer-specific requirements
- Own project timelines for product launches, assortment updates, and seasonal promotions
- Coordinate internal proofing and approvals for all retailer-submitted marketing and compliance documents
Marketing Systems & Reporting:- Maintain accurate records of SKU set-up and retailer content submissions across platforms
- Use retailer portals and vendor systems to update and verify data
- Track marketing campaign KPIs and retailer sell-through performance; provide reports to internal stakeholders
Product Development
- Oversee new item setup processes and integration of new items into internal systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support product launches and ongoing production.
Retailer Relationship Management:- Act as the primary marketing point of contact for assigned national accounts
- Respond to retailer marketing requests, asset pulls, and compliance updates in a timely and professional manner
- Attend account reviews, line reviews, and co-op marketing discussions as needed
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, preferably supporting national retail accounts or CPG clients
- Familiarity with retailer content systems
- Understanding of retail merchandising
- Experience with SKU setup, content syndication, and item maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of Adobe InDesign or Photoshop is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in the flooring, home improvement, or building materials industry strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel 10–15% for account meetings and industry events
