We are looking for a temporary Community & Engagement Lead to cover a 6-month parental leave from June to December 2026. This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20-25 hours per week.
In this role, you will champion Launchpad-our dedicated program designed to empower high-growth startups. By uniting founders, operators, and VC partners through impactful events, curated content, and active community management, you will help deepen ecosystem engagement and drive new customer acquisition. You will act as the primary operational lead driving our events calendar, founder community, and strategic marketing partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Campaign Execution
- End-to-End Event Management: Own the full execution lifecycle of Launchpad-hosted events (such as exclusive founder/CXO dinners, breakfasts, and Dreamforce activations), managing everything from logistics and timelines to invitations, registration, and onsite execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align internal marketing, sales, and partner teams to ensure cohesive event execution.
- Scalable Event Activations: Support broader industry conferences by operationalizing our "event-in-a-box" playbook to expand Launchpad's footprint.
- Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with the SMB Marketing team on event-related campaigns (email, paid media, social) to support net-new logo growth.
2. Launchpad Community Management
- Slack Community Ownership: Maintain and scale our Slack-based founder community, prioritizing consistent engagement and high-value interactions.
- Daily Operations: Manage the daily cadence of postings, content moderation, and member inquiries.
- Program Coordination: Organize, promote, and facilitate monthly office hours and specialized community programming.
- Content Creation: Write and publish compelling community updates, resource guides, and event-related announcements.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor community KPIs and maintain clear visibility into growth and engagement metrics.
3. VC Partnerships & Ecosystem Support
- Distribution Support: Assist in expanding Launchpad's reach across venture capital networks and ecosystem channels.
- Partner Outreach: Coordinate communication, follow-ups, and relationship tracking for VC partners and marketplace platforms.
- Co-Marketing Initiatives: Help execute joint marketing efforts, including newsletter features, community spotlights, and collaborative events.
- Pipeline Visibility: Ensure accurate tracking and internal reporting on partnership pipelines and joint activities.
4. Operations & Reporting
- Operational Rigor: Maintain organized, up-to-date trackers across all events, community metrics, and partnership pipelines.
- Data Hygiene: Ensure meticulous tracking for campaigns, registrations, and lead attribution.
- Internal Reporting: Assist with data gathering and reporting for pipeline forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and executive updates.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify workflow bottlenecks and optimize operational gaps.
- Autonomous Execution: Work independently with high autonomy while maintaining transparent, consistent communication with core stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Background: Proven experience in B2B marketing, event execution, or managing startup ecosystem initiatives.
- Project Management: A strong operational mindset with a track record of driving complex projects from conception to completion.
- Community Expertise: Hands-on experience managing digital communities (ideally via Slack or similar platforms).
- Execution Skills: Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple moving parts simultaneously.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Location: Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
