Marketing Operations & Implementation Manager (Part-Time, Remote)

United States

About Us

Sass and SEO is a digital strategy and systems company helping founders scale sustainably. We build businesses that run with clarity, automation, and structure.

We’re hiring a Marketing Operations & Implementation Manager to turn strategy into execution. This role is structured, technical, and hands-on: you’ll manage campaign workflows, QA deliverables, streamline systems, and track performance.

This is not a social media manager role. If you thrive on analytics, project management, and making marketing systems work smoothly, you’ll be a great fit here.

What You’ll Do

  • Campaign Execution: Review YouTube video edits, copy, thumbnails, and email campaigns. Schedule, publish, and ensure assets are error-free.
  • Performance Tracking: Create campaign and channel reporting dashboards (CTR, conversions, subscriber growth, deliverables met). Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Budget & Resource Alignment: Track projects against deadlines and budgets. Assign and delegate to VAs/editors/designers, and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Project & Team Management: Manage pipelines in ClickUp, monitor client and internal deliverables, and step in to implement directly when needed.
  • Landing Pages & Funnels: Build or QA sales pages, landing pages, and microsites from templates (WordPress/Elementor or similar).
  • Automation & Workflows: Troubleshoot and optimize systems across Go High Level, ActiveCampaign, Zapier, and related tools to improve efficiency.
  • Client Support: Communicate with clients on project updates, timelines, and deliverables. Proactively resolve issues or delays and keep relationships smooth.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years experience in marketing operations, project management, or digital agency operations.
  • Strong technical experience with project management tools (ClickUp preferred; Asana, Monday, or Trello acceptable).
  • Hands-on with automation + CRM platforms (Go High Level, ActiveCampaign, Zapier, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Gmail).
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting marketing performance metrics (Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, CTRs, conversions).
  • Confident communicator who can work with both clients and contractors.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with WordPress + Elementor (or similar page builders).
  • Experience running reports in Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Meta Business Suite.
  • Background in SEO, funnel-building, or digital ad campaigns.
  • QA eye for detail in copy, design, and campaign assets.

Growth & Training

We’re not just looking for someone to check boxes. This is a career-building role for someone who wants to grow into a more advanced Marketing Ops Manager position. You’ll receive direct training and SOPs, work closely with the founder, and gain hands-on experience in advanced marketing operations, reporting, and systems.

Who You Are

  • An implementor at heart: you enjoy making campaigns and systems actually run.
  • Analytical and tech-forward: dashboards, automations, and workflows excite you more than brainstorming ad slogans.
  • Structured and proactive: you love SOPs, checklists, and processes that keep things smooth.
  • Detail-obsessed: you notice what’s missing, fix gaps, and close loops without being asked.

Compensation & Logistics

  • $25–$35/hr DOE, with flexibility for candidates who bring advanced technical and analytics expertise.
  • 15–20 hours per week.
  • U.S.-based, with overlap in Pacific Time.
  • Remote, part-time with potential to grow.

Our Culture

We’re a small, focused team — no corporate red tape, but also no babysitting. If you get energy from creating order, solving problems, and making things run more smoothly, you’ll feel right at home here.

  • We value clarity, autonomy, and ownership.
  • We thrive on systems > chaos.
  • We’re tech-forward — AI, automations, and digital tools are part of how we work.
  • We believe in sustainable growth: clients get real results without burnout, and so do we.

This role is not for you if:

  • You’ve only worked in retail, hospitality, or general admin.
  • You’re primarily a social media manager (posting, community management, content calendars).
  • You want to live in creative brainstorming, but avoid analytics, reporting, or systems.
  • You need constant direction instead of taking initiative.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

Application Question(s):

  • Campaign Performance Scenario

You’re reviewing the results of a course launch that included a webinar, paid ads, email marketing, and affiliate promotions. What key metrics would you review to determine which channel was most effective? Based on those insights, how would you recommend allocating future budget?

  • Client Deadline Scenario

A client has consistently fallen behind on providing assets and has requested last-minute podcast episode publications, which puts our team at risk of missing deadlines. How would you address this issue to support both the client’s success and the team’s workflow? Please draft a short message you would send to the client.

  • YouTube Analytics Scenario

You’ve been given performance reports for the last 3 YouTube videos. The data shows:

  • Video A: High CTR but low average watch time.
  • Video B: Low CTR but high watch time.
  • Video C: Strong CTR and strong watch time, but low conversions from the email campaign tied to it.

How would you interpret this data, and what adjustments would you recommend to the content strategy moving forward?

  • Automation Troubleshooting Scenario

You notice that a Zapier automation meant to tag leads in ActiveCampaign after a Go High Level form submission is failing sporadically, leading to missed emails in the nurture sequence. Walk us through the steps you would take to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve the issue.
