Role Review: The Manager, Marketing Operations will ensure that development, timelines, and deadlines for departmental initiatives are consistently met. They will proactively communicate with all stakeholders in the marketing process, providing detailed reports on projects and workloads. Additionally, they will assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and serve as the primary operational contact for project vendors. This individual will help execute and elevate brand initiatives and marketing efforts, ensuring alignment with credit union business goals and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management of marketing projects from initiation to completion. Ensuring that development, timelines, and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Proactively communicate with all stakeholders in the marketing process. Encourage an atmosphere of team participation and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain detailed reports on projects and workloads, schedules and budgets, as well as prepare regular updates to marketing and credit union leadership. Administer project tasks using the Asana platform.
  • Recognize and resolve issues that arise during projects.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions. Perform ROI analysis on marketing projects both prior to initiation and after completion.
  • Be an active leader and facilitator of marketing team meetings as required based on project and departmental needs.
  • Provide supervisory oversight to assigned marketing team members, including support for workload planning, feedback, and performance management
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for vendors and other key stakeholders on all marketing projects.
  • Work with management to negotiate and secure cost savings with current/future vendors.
  • Facilitate updates of Marketing content on company intranet and act as the internal liaison for marketing related issues with the platform.
  • While this is not a creative role, must be able to collaborate with designers and other creatives to translate project requirements into actionable plans.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field required. A business degree with comparable marketing experience will be considered. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a Marketing department with a focus on production, trafficking, and project management, including at least 3 years managing project workflows on a platform such as Asana (preferred) with responsibility for workflows, templates, automations, and dashboards. A minimum of 2 years in a bank, credit union, or other financial institution is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must be a clear communicator, able to gather, organize and present information verbally and in writing to individuals and groups of people.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both creative and business team members across multiple departments and disciplines.
  • Must have working knowledge of the financial industry
  • Skilled at building and sustaining strong collaborative relationships across various functions.
  • Must be resourceful in reaching deadlines and quickly identify and communicate obstacles.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment, and solution-oriented with a positive attitude toward teamwork.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate and keep the team on track, including individuals in other departments.
  • Ability to effectively generate and execute presentations to senior level management and respond to questions from groups and individuals.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to function in a normal office environment with frequent interruptions by other employees
  • Must be able to sit frequently and use repetitive hand motions for typing
  • Must be able to communicate through speaking and hearing, and use visual acuity for presenting information to members, employees, managers, and/or vendors
  • Must be able to lift and carry a moderate weight between 15 and 45 lbs. occasionally
  • Position is required to travel by vehicle to visit various credit union locations
