Marketing Specialist

Job Summary

Documentation Wizard is a training and consulting company that helps mental health clinicians turn clinical expertise into clear, structured documentation that supports high-quality care. We’re looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our small, creative and dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with experience in B2B marketing, graphic design, copywriting, and editing, who will have meaningful input into our marketing strategy and enjoys collaborating closely on a mission-driven team.

Job location: Remote: this position is open to those residing in Eastern Time (ET), USA

Job type: Independent Contractor

Pay range: $50 - $75 per hour for 7-10 hours / week

Start date: March 30, 2026

Responsibilities:

The Marketing Specialist, in collaboration with all of the team members, is expected to develop marketing strategies and execute them to help grow the business, as well as promote specific products, services, and events.

The candidate should demonstrate a strong knowledge of marketing best practices and industry-standards. They should be able to operate with a high degree of autonomy while communicating often and in a timely manner with the rest of the team.

The primary responsibilities will include:

  • Create compelling graphics to promote products, services, and events
  • Maintain consistent branding across all assets that align with brand guidelines
  • Craft and edit copy for website, social media, print, and marketing materials
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members
  • Identify new target audiences to grow customer base
  • With the team, plan and implement marketing initiatives across various platforms
  • Maintain knowledge of current marketing trends
  • Oversee social media strategy and collaborate with Social Media Assistant
  • Attend weekly team meetings (via Zoom)

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think critically and strategically
  • Ability to work closely with a small team and independently
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environments while meeting tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
  • Proficiency with social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Proficiency in English
  • Demonstrated success working remotely and with a small company environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the mental health field is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Google Workplace
  • Experience with video editing
