Role
The marketing specialist position is responsible for assisting in the development, prioritization, tracking/analyzing, and implantation of the online/digital marketing strategy. This includes generating interest in the website, online banking and mobile app and related products and services (including online applications) through digital advertising campaigns, social media management, email campaigns, etc. This position promotes the company in outbound electronic communications and educates customers in service offerings through electronic marketing tools. The position also serves to help shape and maintain the brand voice through all social media platforms and develops new ideas or concepts for general marketing programs and campaigns. In addition, the position participates in company events and inter-departmental projects.

Partners with IT Department to: 1) determine customer usage/adoption of digital/electronic products and services, 2) identify customer segments for targeted digital marketing. Analyzes website statistical data to understand online user behaviors and identify trends (updates website through CMS based on vendor recommendations). Reviews digital advertising analytics to continuously improve campaign performance.
Assists in developing and is primarily responsible for implementing all social media content on behalf of the bank. Seeks input and approval from appropriate personnel within the bank and maintains and reports on performance of content across platforms. Continually researches trends to ensure optimal post performance, maintains established brand voice, and seeks to include personnel from throughout the bank in content. Responds to comments/messages on various sites including LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media/networking sites.
Researches industry and market trends and demographic data to provide a basis for recommendations.
Participates in developing and implementing an overall annual Marketing Plan. Analyzes results, assesses performance, and recommends refinements to improve performance for future promotions.
Administers email marketing program via core provider and Constant Contact. Develops and schedules campaigns to enhance product awareness among current and potential customers. Tracks and analyzes results, providing them to appropriate internal department leaders.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Knowledge and Skills
ExperienceConcentration in marketing, communications, public relations, business or related major is highly preferred. Proficiency in Internet marketing concepts & practices • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CoPilot) • Proficiency in graphic design tools and skills • Proficiency in use of the online and mobile technologies (including social media platforms) • Proficiency in direct marketing • Ability to understand market research • Project Management • Vendor Management •Customer Service • Relationship building (co-worker and customer)
Education/Certifications/LicensesHigh school degree required.
Interpersonal SkillsAbility to speak and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, and customers. Ability to provide and received constructive feedback to/from others. Ability to maintain regular attendance with flexibility to work non-office hours as needed. Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the bank footprint required. Ability to consistently meet deadline-based commitments.
Other SkillsESSENTIAL SKILLS Exceptional knowledge of the English language, verbal and written, and ability to maintain confidentiality are particularly important. Careful attention to detail and accuracy are crucial. OTHER SKILLS Must be knowledgeable in research analysis, survey methods, regulatory compliance, and current business and marketing trends. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, and design software. Thorough understanding of Internet environments and website development.

Physical RequirementsPerform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, government regulations, general financial reports, and compliance documents.
Working ConditionsWork for this position will be performed on-site, at bank facilities or at community partner locations. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
