Responsibilities:

Slam Academy is hiring for a Part-Time Marketing Specialist, based in Minnesota with the ability to commute to our Minneapolis studios for content creation, brand meetings, and special events.

Hours: 25 hours per week, flexible scheduling, some evenings and weekends required.

Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Benefited Position

Duties Include:

  • Executes Slam Academy’s marketing plan to increase student enrollment and brand awareness.
  • Manages and maintains all social media accounts, ensuring consistent brand voice and regular content cadence on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Plans and executes email and text marketing campaigns, including list management.
  • Assists with paid advertising campaigns as directed and approved by leadership.
  • Coordinates promotional materials, photography, and multimedia content for courses and events.
  • Collaborates with instructors, staff, and students to produce engaging multimedia content.
  • Plans and promotes events such as open houses, workshops, and community engagement events.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to align marketing campaigns with semester cycle changes and new course launches.
  • Promotes Slam Academy programs through both external and internal communications, including communications on virtual communities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of marketing, communication or related experience, preferably in a creative industry.
  • Minimum 1 year of social media management experience.
  • Must possess: Well-developed critical thinking skills and analytical abilities, and Time management, organizational, conflict resolution, and judgement skills.
  • Proficiency in Search Engine Optimizing (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) strategies preferred.
  • Proficiency with email/text marketing platforms preferred.
  • Working knowledge of music education and music production is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel locally for events, partnerships, and promotional activities as needed.
  • Must have flexible availability for weekend or evening hours as directed.
  • Must pass pre-employment background screening(s).

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
