Job Summary

Goodwin and Son’s Inc., operating as Goodwin’s Market, is hiring a part-time remote Marketing Specialist to support local grocery marketing, digital promotions, customer communication, and brand visibility. Goodwin’s Market has served the Crestline, California community for decades, with grocery, deli, coffee and juice bar, pickup, and delivery services available through its market operations.

This role is best for someone who understands retail, local customer service, grocery promotions, digital content, and organized marketing support. The Marketing Specialist will help promote store departments, seasonal offers, online ordering, community updates, and customer-facing campaigns in a professional and accurate way.

Description

The Marketing Specialist will support the company’s marketing activity across digital, local, and customer communication channels. This includes writing clear promotional content, helping organize product and department campaigns, preparing social media ideas, updating marketing calendars, and supporting communication for grocery, deli, coffee, juice bar, pickup, delivery, and store service updates.

The person in this role should understand how a local grocery market builds trust with customers. The work is not only about posting online. It also involves helping the store communicate value, freshness, service, convenience, and community connection.

Responsibilities

Create marketing content for store promotions
Write clear content for weekly specials, seasonal grocery promotions, deli offerings, coffee and juice bar items, pickup and delivery updates, and store announcements. Content should be accurate, simple, and customer-friendly.

Support social media and digital marketing
Prepare social media captions, promotional ideas, content calendars, and basic campaign copy for platforms used by the company. Help keep the company’s online presence active, organized, and aligned with the store’s voice.

Assist with local grocery campaign planning
Help plan marketing around holidays, seasonal food items, community needs, prepared foods, fresh departments, and special store services. Organize campaign details so promotions are posted on time and match current store priorities.

Coordinate with store leadership and department contacts
Communicate with internal team members to gather details about products, pricing, departments, events, and customer updates. Confirm information before publishing or sending marketing material.

Support online ordering and customer communication
Help promote pickup, delivery, deli ordering, and related customer services. Prepare simple messages for customers about how to order, service fees, timing, and available store options.

Track marketing activity and basic performance
Maintain records of promotions, content schedules, customer engagement notes, and campaign results. Share simple updates on what content is performing well and what needs improvement.

Maintain brand consistency
Use a professional tone that fits a long-standing, community-focused grocery business. Keep messaging helpful, accurate, and consistent across digital content, email drafts, flyers, and customer updates.

Assist with basic design and promotional materials
Prepare simple marketing layouts, flyer copy, email text, and promotional descriptions. Work with approved logos, photos, product details, and brand materials when available.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
