Marketing Specialist

Position Overview: Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting organizational marketing, communications, recruitment outreach, and community engagement initiatives that promote the mission, services, workforce programs, and culture of the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This position develops creative content and marketing materials for both internal and external audiences through digital, print, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about storytelling, branding, and building meaningful connections with employees, patients, and the community.

What You Will Do:

  • Create engaging content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms to promote clinic services, employee highlights, community events, and recruitment initiatives.
  • Design and distribute marketing materials including flyers, brochures, posters, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
  • Support internal communication initiatives and employee engagement campaigns.
  • Maintain and organize the digital media library, including photos, videos, and branded assets.
  • Assist with website updates, marketing calendars, newsletter, and content scheduling.
  • Track and report engagement metrics for social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with leadership and departments to support organizational branding and outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate and support community outreach events, health fairs, recruitment events, and public engagement activities.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with organizational branding and communication standards.
  • Assist with photography, video content creation, and basic editing for promotional use.
  • Support recruitment marketing efforts by promoting career opportunities and workforce development initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a creative, audience-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
  • Outgoing, friendly, and creative personality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Experience working in healthcare marketing or familiarity with healthcare regulations.
  • Experience with photography, videography, or basic video editing.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics, branding, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience coordinating community outreach events or public relations activities.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to balance, bend, lift, carry, and pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, typically longer than four hours.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, or as needed.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use hands and fingers for feeling, grasping, and operating office equipment.
  • Adequate hearing ability for communication and monitoring office environments.
  • Good vision for reading documents, operating office equipment, and observing surroundings.
  • Capability to stoop, crouch, crawl, or kneel as necessary for office tasks.
  • Ability to talk clearly and effectively for communication.
  • Ability to walk and move around the office environment.
