Job Summary:
The Marketing Store Keeper is responsible for overseeing the organization and management of inventory in our store or warehouse, ensuring proper stock levels, and facilitating promotional efforts in alignment with marketing strategies. This role ensures efficient stock handling and supports in-store marketing initiatives to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, incoming and outgoing shipments, and products on display.
- Organize inventory storage to optimize space and improve product accessibility.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure products are well-stocked and properly rotated, following first-in, first-out (FIFO) methods.
- Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute in-store promotions, sales campaigns, and visual merchandising efforts.
- Assist with the implementation of advertising materials, banners, and displays to enhance product visibility.
- Ensure promotional products are available and properly organized for customer purchase.
- Customer Experience:
- Assist customers in locating products and offer relevant product knowledge to enhance their shopping experience.
- Respond to customer inquiries about product availability, special offers, and promotions.
- Collaboration with Sales Team:
- Work closely with the sales team to identify trends and customer demands, ensuring that stock is available for high-demand products.
- Provide input to marketing teams regarding which products are performing well or need more promotional efforts.
- Order and Stock Replenishment:
- Monitor stock levels and order new supplies as needed to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and manage returns when necessary.
- Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to managers regarding stock levels, inventory trends, and the success of in-store marketing campaigns.
- Track the effectiveness of marketing efforts in terms of product turnover and sales increase.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in business, marketing, or retail management is a plus).
- Experience in retail management, inventory control, or marketing roles.
- Knowledge of stock management systems and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with visual merchandising and retail marketing techniques is a plus.
