Summary:
The Marketing Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the marketing and sales initiatives of our wholesale building materials business. This position is responsible for assisting with the creation, coordination, and execution of all marketing campaigns, digital content, trade show activities, and sales materials that promote our products and strengthen relationships with dealers, distributors, and contractors.


Role and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Assist in planning, developing, and executing marketing campaigns and product promotions across digital and print channels
  • Maintain and update marketing collateral, product brochures, data sheets, and price lists
  • Coordinate production of branded materials, signage, and displays for trade shows and customer events
  • Manage website content updates, product listings, and image libraries
  • Create and schedule posts for social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) tailored to B2B audiences
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and digital ads
  • Collect and organize product images, specifications, and promotional assets for marketing and sales use
  • Assists in research, development, distribution, tracking and recapping of promotions
  • Assists in competitive comparisons for decision making by the management group
  • Assists in aspects of vendor reimbursement for: coop, model home programs, rebates, etc.
  • Works with external vendors to execute marketing programs
  • Maintains a yearly/monthly promotional calendar with the support of purchasing managers and sales team
  • Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met
  • Assists in technology solutions that support sales efforts, such as CRM systems, sales automation tools and data analytics platforms
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business
  • Prompt and reliable, regular attendance

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills, with good grammar, voice, and dictation. Must be detail oriented with Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful) and problem-solving skills. Excellent data analysis and analytical skills. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks and interact with others in a professional manner. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud and CRM or marketing automation tools. Experience of pricing management business systems. Previous experience using web analytics and other tools to identify opportunities for improvement.


Education Requirements

Position requires a High School Diploma or GED; prefers an associate’s degree in sales management, marketing, communications or business, two or more years marketing experience preferred.


Preferred Skills

Experience in the Building/Construction Industry

Experience with website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)

Basic Graphic design or photo editing skills
