About Yokl:
Yokl (www.shopyokl.com) celebrates local businesses, community, and connection through curated food tours and storytelling. Our “Meet the Heroes” project spotlights the entrepreneurs behind the shops, restaurants, and small businesses that make our towns thrive.

About the Internship:
We’re looking for a creative, motivated student intern to help us interview local business owners and create short feature videos for our website and social media. The ideal candidate enjoys meeting people, asking great questions, and telling authentic stories through video.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct 10 short interviews with local business owners (training and questions provided)
• Capture simple video clips and photos at their shops or workspaces
• Gather b-roll footage of products, customers, and atmosphere
• Work with Yokl’s founder on storytelling angles and content ideas
• Optionally assist with light video editing or social media posting (not required)

You’ll Gain Experience In:

• Video journalism and digital storytelling
• Interviewing and communication
• Small business and entrepreneurship exposure
• SEO, social media marketing, and content strategy
• Building a professional creative portfolio

Compensation:

• $500 stipend for 10 completed interviews and video clips (Yokl handles editing)
• Mentorship in storytelling, marketing, and entrepreneurship
• Flexible schedule — work around classes and commitments

Ideal Candidate:

• High school or college student studying (or interested in) journalism, marketing, entrepreneurship, communications, or media production
• Confident communicator who enjoys connecting with people
• Self-starter who can manage their own schedule
• Familiarity with social media and basic video capture (smartphone or camera)
