Marriage and Family Therapist

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Vietnamese Family Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling, with a focus on providing support to families and children. This role requires expertise in various therapeutic modalities and the ability to work collaboratively with clients to foster healing and growth. The Family Therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of each family.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide psychotherapy using various modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on child and family dynamics.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage crisis situations effectively.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients in their treatment process.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collect data for clinical research purposes and contribute to case management efforts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients.
  • Offer guidance and support in home and community care settings as needed.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, PTSD, or addiction issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field with relevant licensure (LCSW, LPC, etc.).
  • Experience working with children and families in clinical settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in crisis management techniques and behavioral health interventions.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation practices.
  • Strong skills in data collection, diagnostic evaluation, intake procedures, and clinical counseling.
  • Experience in group therapy settings and knowledge of applied behavior analysis is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with special education needs or disabilities.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
