Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our renovation and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and construction, with experience in various techniques and materials. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial buildings, renovations, and restorations. The Mason will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform masonry work including bricklaying, stone setting, and concrete finishing
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
• Install rebar and concrete forms for structural support
• Execute hardscape projects such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks
• Conduct plastering and stucco applications as needed
• Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, and tile laying
• Assist in renovation projects by restoring existing structures to meet current standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site
• Follow safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others

Requirements

• Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields
• Proficiency in concrete forming, rebar installation, hardscape techniques, and concrete finishing
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and welding practices
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
• Experience in carpentry (frame carpentry and trim carpentry) is a plus
• Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Previous construction site experience is preferred
