Mason cum Gypsum Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mason cum Gypsum Fitter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing masonry work, gypsum installation, and related construction tasks, ensuring all projects are completed to the highest quality standards and within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lay and bind building materials such as bricks, stones, blocks, and tiles to construct or repair walls, partitions, floors, arches, and other structures.
• Mix and apply mortar, cement, plaster, and other materials according to project requirements.
• Install gypsum boards, partitions, and ceilings with precision.
• Cut, shape, and polish stones, bricks, and gypsum boards to required sizes using hand and power tools.
• Build scaffolding and other temporary structures as needed.
• Diagnose and repair cracks, leaks, or damaged masonry/gypsum areas.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
• Measure and mark work areas according to design plans.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and finishing during installation.
• Follow workplace safety standards and wear required PPE at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Vocational training in masonry preferred).
• Experience: 5-7 years of proven experience in masonry, gypsum installation, and construction projects.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of masonry and gypsum installation techniques, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
