Civil Technician

Job Summary:

The Civil Technician supports civil engineering and construction projects by performing technical tasks, including surveying, drafting, materials testing, and site inspections. They work closely with civil engineers and construction teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs and compliance with specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation using CAD software.
• Conduct site surveys, take measurements, and collect data for design and construction purposes.
• Support materials testing (soil, concrete, asphalt, etc.) in both laboratory and field settings.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed project records, logs, and reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site supervisors to resolve technical issues.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and procurement planning.
• Provide technical input for design modifications and improvements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in civil construction or engineering projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software.
• Knowledge of construction materials, surveying methods, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver’s license if available.
