Masonry technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of construction-related skills and experience, enabling them to contribute effectively to various projects. This role requires hands-on expertise in multiple areas of construction, including concrete work, masonry, carpentry, and more. The Technician will be responsible for executing tasks on-site while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Duties

• Perform concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation for various construction projects.
• Execute hardscape installations and masonry work with precision.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on the job site.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
• Conduct renovation tasks including plastering, trim carpentry, and stucco application.
• Engage in roofing activities and frame carpentry as required by project specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment safely to assist in construction tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Participate in restoration projects as needed, demonstrating versatility across different trades.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction with a strong background in multiple trades such as concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, and roofing.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
• Ability to perform tile laying and caulking tasks effectively.
• Experience with metal stud framing and welding is desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety regulations.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills are essential for successful task execution.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.06 - $31.39 per hour

Expected hours: 48 – 54 per week
