Master Electrician

Master Electrician Essential Duties:

To install or maintain electrical systems for production equipment or facilities in accordance with Minnesota State Building and Electric codes and provide guidance and direction to the facility with safe electrical practices.

• Work from electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and machine schematic diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide electrical expertise and maintenance.
• Performs troubleshooting, repair, modification, and installation tasks.
• Use oscilloscopes, voltmeter, strip chart records, ammeter, analog converters, amplifiers, and other diagnostic equipment to test circuitry and components.
• Replaces, adjusts and calibrates components to align: control, machine components, pressure, and other apparatus to required operating specifications.
• Completes all associated paperwork and recordkeeping as required.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance of electrical circuits.

Physical Abilities

• Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
• Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently.

Working conditions

• The primary duties of this position are performed primarily in an indoor environment and may include working in dusty and humid conditions, hot and cold temperatures, and hazards involving the use of power tools and equipment and hazardous chemicals and materials.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Master Electrician License in the state of Minnesota required
• Vocational/trade school or equivalent training in the following areas: electrical/electronics, hydraulics, mechanical drives, pneumatics, electro-mechanical principles, machine operations, CNC machine controls or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to communicate verbally with others; ability to listen; ability to read to perform the duties of the job. Bilingual Spanish speaking ability desired, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
