The Master Head Auto Technician is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance operations within an automotive service center or dealership. This individual possesses advanced technical skills, leadership abilities, and extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle makes and models. The Master Head Auto Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the automotive repair facility, maintaining high-quality service standards, and providing leadership and guidance to a team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of automotive technicians.
  • Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor the progress of technicians to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of technicians.
  • Diagnostic Expertise:
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and diagnose complex automotive issues accurately.
  • Analyze diagnostic data and symptoms to determine the root cause of vehicle problems.
  • Provide recommendations for repair solutions and prioritize tasks based on safety, urgency, and customer needs.
  • Repair and Maintenance:
  • Perform advanced automotive repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, electrical system diagnostics, and complex mechanical repairs.
  • Ensure that all repairs are performed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks as needed.
  • Quality Control:
  • Perform thorough inspections of completed repairs to verify quality and safety standards.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours for billing and warranty purposes.
  • Customer Service:
  • Interact with customers to understand their vehicle concerns, provide estimates, and explain repair options.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by delivering high-quality service and timely repairs.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting automotive repair.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive training program or apprenticeship preferred.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in multiple areas such as Engine Repair, Electrical Systems, Brakes, and Suspension.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of technicians.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, tools, and technology.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
