Job Title: Master (Tailor)

Department: Production / Sampling
Reporting To: Business & Finance Head

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Master (Tailor) to lead garment stitching, fitting, and finishing for our fashion e-commerce brand. The role requires strong expertise in pattern understanding, sample development, quality control, and guiding tailors to ensure timely and high-quality production in line with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute stitching of samples, production pieces, and custom garments
• Interpret design sketches, tech packs, and patterns accurately
• Conduct garment fittings and make necessary alterations
• Ensure high standards of stitching quality, finishing, and measurements
• Guide and train junior tailors and helpers
• Coordinate with designers, merchandisers, and production team for timelines
• Identify and resolve stitching or fitting issues proactively
• Maintain consistency across bulk production as per approved samples
• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of machines and tools
• Follow production schedules and meet e-commerce dispatch deadlines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Master Tailor in a fashion or garment setup
• Strong knowledge of women’s wear & eastern garments (as applicable)
• Excellent understanding of fabrics, cuts, measurements, and finishing techniques
• Ability to handle sampling and bulk production
• Leadership skills to manage tailoring staff
• Attention to detail and quality orientation
• Time management and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with fashion brands or e-commerce production units
• Knowledge of industrial stitching machines
• Ability to work under tight timelines
