Job Purpose:
- The MA Therapist Supervisor - LICENSED at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of therapists to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services. This role involves clinical supervision, program development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards to enhance the well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision and support to a team of therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
- Develop and implement therapeutic programs and interventions tailored to meet the needs of diverse client populations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to therapy staff to promote professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care plans for clients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing and accreditation requirements, maintaining documentation and records as required.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new therapy staff to build a competent and cohesive team.
- Address and resolve any clinical or administrative issues that may arise within the therapy department.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the field of mental health to continuously improve service delivery.
Required Education:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid license as a Mental Health Therapist or Counselor in the state of practice.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mental health therapy or counseling, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of managing and supervising a team of therapists or counselors.
- Experience in developing and implementing therapeutic programs and interventions.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Proficient in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to mental health services.
- Competency in using electronic health records and other relevant software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
