Job Responsibilities:

Assist Materials Manager to coordinate material flow into and out of the Eagle Bend facility on a Just-In-Time (JIT) basis to insure 100% on-time delivery of quality product to the customer while controlling cost

Responsabilities:

  • Responsible with assisting Materials Manager for proper handling, storage, packaging, preservation and delivery of both material and product per control plans utilizing TS16949 & ISO14001 documented systems and authority to initiate appropriate action necessary to prevent non-conformance to customer specifications.

  • Receiving, Production Control, Inventory Control, Shipping, Customer Service

  • Assist in managing inventory level to maintain JIT production and delivery capabilities to all customer assembly locations throughout North America.

  • Assist Materials Manager to manage material handling activities in Shipping & Receiving to streamline operations and improve efficiencies.

  • Assist the Materials Manager holding Weekly Safety Meetings as defined by the Weekly Safety Topics Program.

Job Qualification:

  • BA degree in business or related field preferred but not required

  • 5 – 7 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment

  • Must understand the basics of material flow and JIT manufacturing techniques

  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers to reduce costs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities for various customers (internal & external)

  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with associates in either individual or group settings

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities for various customers (internal & external)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
