About this role:

Under supervisory direction, functions as a member of a production team whose goal is to kit and assemble required components, operate equipment, inspect in-process medical devices / kits, and maintain the quality and integrity of the products at all times. Primary focus is to ensure proper physical and systematic receipt, putaway, replenishment and picking of medical devices for building into products to meet production goals. Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers both in speech and in writing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain production inventory and supplies. Execute MES Lean Replenishment Tool daily to identity MES-stored components that are in short supply and physically replenish as necessary.
  • Create Kanban for inventory transferred from WMS to MES storage location.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by performing routine cycle count or as directed by production supervisor, group leads, etc.
  • Reconcile all inventory physically and systematically as needed.
  • Physically put away products to be reworked into their designated bin location.
  • Understands the functions of MES, SAP and WMS, including basic running reports.
  • Conduct basic and routine troubleshooting to resolve inventory issues identified by Material Handlers (Pickers) or Product Builders, such as Kanban discrepancies, misplaced item, wrong batch, etc.
  • Train new Material Handlers on picking process, use of RF scanners and applicable tools.
  • Maintain RF Scanners inventory assigned to Kitting department. Assign and maintain scanner distribution.
  • Coordinate with RF Scanners process owner on scanner upkeep, etc.
  • Maintain a MHE Certified Trainer license and assist with training of Production personnel.
  • Proactively identifies and communicates quality issues and concerns.
  • Participate in continuous and process improvements/efforts.
  • Assist with new product and process launches.
  • Participates in program or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Champions the “flex strategy”, rotates as necessary and works well with group members, both within the team and cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in all communication, including written and spoken.
  • Understand and apply Core 5 Metrics in relation to the daily tasks.
  • Must have working knowledge of all processes in assigned area.
  • Understands and ensures compliance of BSC, site specific and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for attending and passing all required core BSC and site specific training (i.e. QS Basics, GDP, cGMP).
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Demonstrates and applies a solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and related principles.
  • Other tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, and/or Quincy Site Leadership.


Required qualifications:

  • 2-4 years high school diploma/degree/equivalent, or An equivalent combination of education/work experience
  • Certification in assigned area preferred
