- Manage and maintain inventory of firefighting equipment and materials, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient storage.
- Coordinate with project managers and field teams to procure necessary materials, optimizing delivery schedules and minimizing delays.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement documents, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
- Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality firefighting components.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Monitor material usage and consumption, identifying trends and recommending strategies to reduce waste and optimize resource allocation.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and conformance to specifications, rejecting substandard items and coordinating returns.
- Maintain detailed records of material transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns, for accurate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures in the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize shipping and receiving processes, minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree or Diploma holder.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 3 years of experience in material coordination, preferably within the firefighting industry.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of firefighting equipment, components, and industry-specific standards.
- Displays proficiency in using inventory management systems and procurement software.
- Demonstrates excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms.
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving material-related issues.
