Material Management

Job Title: Material Management Executive / Officer / Manager

Department: Supply Chain / Stores / Inventory
Reports To: Operations / Purchase / Plant Head

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the flow of materials from suppliers to production and from production to customers. Ensures proper inventory levels, timely procurement, and efficient utilization of materials to support uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory in ERP/HRMS systems.
• Monitor stock levels and plan reordering to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Coordinate with purchase and production departments for material requirements.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile variances.
• Ensure proper labeling, binning, and arrangement of materials for easy identification.
• Prepare and maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Material Issue Notes, and related documentation.
• Track inward and outward material movement, including returnable and non-returnable items.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies in material handling.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required records and reports.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in inventory or material management (depending on level).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or inventory management software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of logistics and procurement processes preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
