Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor upcoming engineering changes, ensuring alignment of effective dates between internal teams and the material planning department.
- Analyze BOMs/MBOMs and collaborate with the NPI team to maintain accurate data in SAP, supporting proper demand planning.
- Partner with suppliers to ensure consistent On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance.
- Develop and manage implementation schedules to assess and report material readiness for new part numbers in upcoming models/programs.
- Participate in and evaluate launch processes to guarantee successful and timely implementation for new model introductions.
- Work closely with the Material Master (MM) team to set effectivity dates and configure SAP settings accordingly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, NPI, PLM, GSM, Planning, Operations, Finance, Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Service, Sales, and Program Management to ensure smooth communication of changes across the organization.
- Coordinate launch phase planning with Vehicle Program Management and Supply Chain teams, reviewing supplier lead times alongside material planners.
- Provide timely updates and communicate material data changes across departments to support operational readiness.
- Ensure timely and accurate updates on projects and program launches, proactively addressing potential issues through escalation when necessary.
- Manage additional projects or tasks as assigned.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts and process optimization to achieve key performance indicator (KPI) targets.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience in an automotive or manufacturing setting, specifically in logistics, material planning, or supply chain, including at least 2 years in a project management role.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems related to manufacturing, BOMs, and logistics; experience with SAP is preferred.
- Background in New Product Introduction (NPI), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and overall supply chain operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret data and provide clear, actionable recommendations. #PTM
