Material Planner

Material Management & Control

• Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials as per purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Verify material specifications, quantities, heat numbers, MTCs (Material Test Certificates), and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain updated inventory records of all materials including pipes, valves, fittings, flanges, cladding, and chemicals.
• Ensure accurate tagging, labeling, and storage of materials according to type, size, and specification.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Manage issuance of materials to internal departments or clients based on material requests and delivery schedules.

Inventory & Documentation

• Maintain stock reports, material balance records, and update ERP/inventory systems regularly.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain detailed material status reports for management and project teams.
• Ensure all documentation (MTCs, COCs, delivery notes, inspection reports) is complete and filed systematically.

Coordination & Support

• Liaise with QA/QC, procurement, logistics, and sales departments to coordinate deliveries and resolve material issues.
• Work closely with EPC clients and contractors to meet project material requirements and specifications.
• Support the planning and procurement teams with accurate stock forecasts to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all materials are stored and handled in compliance with company HSE policies and industry standards.
• Follow proper handling and storage procedures for hazardous materials and chemicals.
