Material Preservation Coordinator

Responsible for material administration at yard, including the following:

1. Assist the Yard Manager in evaluating, planning and organizing the yard material storage infrastructure - warehouses and lay-down areas - as per the preservation requirement.

2. Participate in the reception of goods and rejection of defective materials. Identify, report upon, trace, and handle surplus, shortage, missing and damaged material. Follow up and distribute on the material specification documentation

3. Organize warehouse and lay-down areas. Assure proper preservation of stored material as per recommendations from suppliers. Provide instructions and guidance to the yard contractor on all material handling-related issues.

4. Ensure that the day-to-day work of yard sub-contractor material storage team is in compliance with the respective procedures, standards, and specifications

5. Create and update date base of materials arrived and materials handed-over to construction - Prepare material status reports and perform work front data analysis for construction and report to Yard Manager and Field engineering manager.

6. Coordinate with the Procurement, expediting, and shipping departments for incoming and outgoing material at the site - coordinate with local and international suppliers for status and advance shipping and storage information.

7. Monitor the material handling performance with emphasis on preservation, quantity, safety, quality, schedule, and budget. Report Non-Conformities and follow corrective actions.

8. Prepare a weekly and monthly internal material status report.

9. In terms of HSE, to support the Yard Manager implementing the E&C policy - modular yard direct man-hours will not be included in E&C/AL safety statistics. Therefore, HSE management relying on Modular Yard Organization and E&C supervision team limited basically to i) gap analysis and ii) audit the modular fabrication. Modules Packing and preservation.

10. Coordinate with yard contractor to prepare modules and loose items for transportation to site.

11. Prepare module for sea transport, long term storage and preservation as per packing and preservation procedure.

12. Prepare detail check list of preservation steps - during storage at yard or site.
