Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) for the RAM Launcher program onsite in either Tucson, Arizona or Louisville, Kentucky. This individual contributor role is a great opportunity for someone with a university/college degree and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant material forecasting and planning prior experience.


In this role you will learn and further develop your knowledge of manufacturing, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and execute a material program strategy/plan for a program or integrated product team.


The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization and company. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, be involved in budgeting and financial management, and issue and conflict resolution.


What You Will Do:

  • Engage with leadership on material strategy execution
  • Coordinate Risk Mitigation and Opportunity capture plans with Procurement
  • Review and burn down SCM metrics
  • Develop and drive material EACs and monthly material forecasting
  • Commitment to obtain MPM certification after one year of experience in the role

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant material forecasting and planning prior experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Progressive professional experience with a combination of experience in Project, Program, Product, Finance or Supplier Management is required
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point)
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management
  • Must be able to succeed in the high stress, fast paced environment of production
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
