Materials Control Section Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Material Control Section Head to oversee and manage all material planning, storage, inventory control, and distribution activities across our utility operations. The role ensures material availability, cost efficiency, compliance, and smooth coordination with procurement, warehouse, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement material control policies, procedures, and KPIs.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted utility operations while minimizing excess stock.
• Oversee receiving, storage, issuance, and tracking of materials and spare parts.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Engineering, Projects, and Maintenance teams.
• Monitor material consumption, forecasting, and demand planning.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, HSE requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Lead and develop the material control and warehouse teams.
• Prepare regular inventory, variance, and cost control reports.
• Ensure proper use of ERP systems (Oracle / SAP or similar).

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineer.
• 10-12 years of experience in material control or inventory management, preferably within substations, power plants, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of material planning, warehousing, and inventory optimization.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and coordination skills.
