We're seeking a self-driven, energetic individual to join the Failure Analysis Team in Bangalore. The team is responsible for root cause failure analysis across all Apple Hardware products and advanced material characterisation for guiding design and process changes.

Description
In this role, you will work in a lab environment on various electrical characterisation and fault isolation tools. You will be responsible for performing hands-on electrical failure analysis to validate and debug functional / parametric issues and precisely isolate the failures for further analysis. You will have the opportunity to be creative and use your engineering and scientific knowledge to figure out the root cause of product failure and recommend corrective actions, as well as present the findings to global teams and executives.

Preferred Qualifications
PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in semiconductor or consumer electronics failure analysis.
Hands on experience in fault isolation techniques such as Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), Lock-In Thermography (LIT), OBIRCH, EMMI, TIVA, etc
Experience in Board (SMT), IC Package and/or Silicon Level failure analysis.
Proficient in sample preparation techniques to enable electrical failure analysis and experience in failure analysis capabilities such as FIB, SEM, FTIR.
Failure Analysis experience in Display, Camera. MEMS and Sensors a plus.
Experience in technically mentoring and managing Jr. Engineers and / or technicians.

Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in electrical design or failure analysis related to consumer electronics, semiconductors.
Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, including analog and digital circuits.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and system level assembly drawings / CAD files.
Proficiency with electronic test equipment like DMM’s, SMU’s, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, etc to validate failures and fault isolation techniques such as Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), Lock-In Thermography (LIT), OBIRCH, etc.
Creating comprehensive technical reports with crisp and concise data for presenting to cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Strong aptitude for problem solving and can-do attitude
Ability to communicate complex technical information in a simple, concise manner
Adaptability to fast changing environment and scope of work to meet business needs
Ability to prioritise and juggle multiple high priority tasks at the same time
Willing to collaborate closely across organisations
