Function Overview

The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. Purpose of the role

This role is responsible for all the raw material planning activities executed by the global planning hub. This is an international role that works closely with all regional raw material planning teams and the Global COE to implement, stabilize, and govern raw material planning / Product Project Management and Bills of Materials standards across all regions from the hub. Sustaining and continuously improving capability by reviewing the impact on business KPIs, along with supporting scalability and standardization across the globe, will be a key responsibility of this role.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership:
  • Provide leadership and expertise across the GIC Raw Material Planning organization on planning processes and optimization across
    • Raw Material Management
    • Raw Material Forecasting
    • Raw Material Analytics (Material Disruption Recovery/Raw material Inventory Targets Setting)
    • Bills of Material Management
    • Product Commercialization Support Activities
  • Support and lead management changes for the raw material planning teams in GIC.
  • Partner with regional raw material planning teams and suppliers to implement industry-standard planning processes and systems globally.
  • Provide feedback and ongoing improvements on raw material planning practices through internal best practice sharing and by identifying standardization opportunities.
  • Develop business understanding and judgment to support integrated supply chain planning.
  • Partner with hub and region leadership teams in contributing to functional OGSM development
Operational Leadership:
  • Implement global raw material planning standards in partnership with Materials Management leadership and develop sustainable processes and governance to measure and improve planning performance.
  • Run and improve DDS/ WDS efforts to transition from reactive to predictable operational excellence and drive a zero-loss culture.
  • Ensure the GIC Raw material planning teams are meeting and exceeding run state metrics and KPI, and review them at an appropriate cadence with the hub supply planning lead and business partners in regions.
  • Supporting Raw material Write off risk mitigation and avoidance activities and analytics
  • Collaborate with all supply planning and supply analytics teams in the hub to drive end-to-end and raw material planning improvement and alignment.
  • Manage the budget and finances for the team.
  • Understand changing business requirements and uniqueness into regional planning processes and highlight them to the hub supply planning leader to incorporate the change.
  • Driving results and repeatable success through using data & process for decision making.
  • Collaborate and partner with suppliers and sourcing to develop the right pricing strategy for the regions.
  • Yearly revisit of Pricing, Consolidation strategies, and business processes to drive improvements and meet business needs.
  • Manage the Analytical Support Material Disruptions Recovery Process
Stakeholder Management:
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key partners across planning teams to encourage best practice sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partner and understand stakeholders’ requirements across all regional raw material planning teams and Raw Material POD’s collaborate for business solution development.
  • Lead reviews from the hub on raw material planning KPI’s and deliverables with the region planning teams and drive root cause analysis and improvements.
  • Collaborate with sourcing and suppliers across the globe for process standardization and governance.
Team Leadership:
  • Identifies and removes barriers allowing for optimum performance and results from the team.
  • Promote the culture of internal job rotations by leveraging cross-functional training to reduce business outages due to rotations.
  • Develop leaders within the organization through effective coaching and mentorship. Ensure succession plan for all critical roles.
  • Empower people to lead from every seat, fostering a culture of collaboration to drive maximum performance and accountability.
  • Ensure efforts towards employee engagement and retention. · Identify individual training development needs and provide an opportunity to improve by leveraging L&D or an external platform
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree
  • 10 years of experience, 7+ years in people management role, 10+ years overall supply chain experience
  • Preferable but not mandatory CSCMP, APICS, SIX SIGMA or equiv. Project Management
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
  • In depth knowledge and expertise of Raw material planning concepts, processes, and systems.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain planning processes.
  • Knowledge of raw material planning KPI’s and metrics.
  • Ability to navigate the organization across all levels to drive improvements.
  • Strong technical and process leadership on raw material planning
  • Deep business knowledge and industry experience. § Executive presence - Ability to interact with cross-functional leaders and present and challenge new ideas.
  • Strong conceptual and creative problem-solving skills, ability to work with considerable ambiguity. Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with a broad cross-section of business partners across the globe. Experience in the management of collaboration, issue resolution, and performance improvement.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional leaders in a matrix organization – Global exposure preferred § Experience of working with SAP – MM Module
  • Ability to gather, visualize, and analyze data. Skills to draw inferences, provide meaningful insights, and translate data into actionable information
