Materials Management Liaison

Job Requirements

JOB SUMMARY:


Acts as a logistics resource providing materials management support to the Shore Health organization, University of Maryland Medical System Supply Chain organization and external end users.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:


  • Acts as department resource in the coordination and distribution of materials and services across the organizational structure, UMMS Supply Chain Organization, local receiving, and external end users. Services include inventory management, sourcing of materials and vendors, distribution, training as well as other routine materials management duties deemed essential to support the flow of goods and services.
  • Assists internal department personnel in obtaining goods and services appropriately by making sure that information provided is either sourced from established item master or can be created into an accurate requisition for PO creation.
  • Provides assistance to external end users in areas such as requisition creation by reviewing agreements, contracts, terms/conditions, payment options as well as other needs that may include procurement.
  • Responsible for establishing stock minimum/maximum and on-time ordering.
  • Prepares returns, repairs and other outgoing items.
  • Responsible for completing reports, filing and other duties as assigned.
  • Trains others in Corporative Supply Chain policies and procedures as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform duties via current automated Materials Management System.
  • Strives to achieve excellence of service as described in care manual.
  • Responsible for honest behavior in all matters.
  • Complies with all Federal and State laws and regulations.
  • Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information. Uses and discloses only that information which is necessary to perform the function of the job.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated computer competencies and keyboard expertise is required.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service; verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Experience using an automated inventory system strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION:

  • Pay Range: $23.70 - $33.19/hr.
