Materials Manager

Job Summary:

You will lead the execution of logistical operations to include receiving, warehousing, and shipping. Perform a wide variety of tasks such as planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of product movement in support of the manufacturing workflow.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Validating previous transactions for discrepancies and ensures internal specifications are met and traceability requirements are 100% accurate
  • Overseeing receiving functions related to purchased parts and incoming supplies, and shipping of finished and semi-finished parts
  • Managing and monitoring storage of purchased parts and finished goods
  • Handling raw materials and finished materials in compliance with internal electrostatic discharge policies and procedures
  • Issuing material to work orders; follows bill of material and work order routing
  • Tracking material scrap; act or make recommendations to reduce or eliminate
  • Assuring write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce materials and consumable costs and charges
  • Implement and maintain inventory management monthly review process
  • Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements
  • Researching and reconciling inventory anomalies
  • Processing MRP transactions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Execution and accuracy of daily cycle count and year-end inventory
  • Following all company policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or equivalent work experience and/or education.
  • Typically requires 7 years' experience in Logistics and 3 years of Logistics supervision.
  • Experience problem-solving, analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with logistics and inventory management software.
  • Experience with government contracting requirements related to inventory, shipping, and receiving.
  • Experience Trade compliance.
  • Experience Domestic and international shipping.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Successful candidate must be able to lift and carry weight unassisted not exceeding 20lbs
