Crown Packaging Corp. is seeking a Purchasing Support Associate to join their team in Chesterfield, Missouri!

About the Role. Under the direction of the Purchasing Support Manager, the Purchasing Support Associate will support the team by purchasing materials from suppliers at the lowest cost while taking into consideration the quality of product, reliability of source and urgency of need. This individual will expedite and resolve issues related to purchase orders and invoices while also running, reviewing and managing reports. They will make item adjustments in JDE and set up new suppliers as needed. Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Job Description:

  • Manage inventory including reorder point levels and item maintenance
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and IT on projects and enhancements
  • Place purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner
  • Follow up on orders for timely delivery
  • Run and analyze reports for error reporting and inventory management
  • Create and maintain supplier records
  • Manage and release I1 and I2 hold orders
  • Collaborate with multiple internal deparments within JDE to solve issues and assist with training as needed

Job Requirements:

  • 1 year relevant professional experience
  • JDE experience preferred
  • Inventory Management or Buyer experience preferred
  • Respond to voicemail and email promptly
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite – Outlook Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Proficient in Excel (formulas, VLOOKUPs)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with managers, co-workers and all departments within the company
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a high level of integrity, strong work ethic and the willingness to help team members
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
