The Materials manager is a critical piece to supporting DCI’s material flow cycle, which includes forecasting, planning, and scheduling of finished goods and sub-assemblies. DCI depends on an effective materials manager to ensure that the right materials are available at the right time to satisfy customer demand, minimize waste, manage inventory levels and keep output in line with the company’s goals.
· Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (including, but not limited to):
- Forecasting requirements of the finished goods which drive demand for all raw materials needed.
- Plan for all material requirements across all divisions of DCI
- Schedule work through the production departments using:
- Work orders
- Just in time manufacturing
- Production Schedules
- Kanban replenishment
- Develop and maintain the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering to ensure prompt availability of raw materials, components, and assemblies.
- Resolve material shortages and expedite critical items as needed while working with the procurement manager
- Measure performance against the plan
- Develop or maintain reports, analytics and metrics
- Align demand with sourcing activities
- Lead, define and execute physical inventory and cycle count policy
- Minimize excess inventory and obsolescence while ensuring availability
- Align inventory requirements with sales and operations planning and/or the demand schedule
- Maintain accurate records of material transactions in ERP/MRP systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, EU MDR, etc.).
- Support audits and inspections by providing material records and traceability data.
- Train and guide employees
Educational and Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Preferred 3 years’ experience in previous management role
- Previous experience in materials management
- Ability to make quick, accurate decisions based on information collected
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer workstation
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs

Pay: $93,600.00 - $149,926.40 per year
