  • Assist with the procurement of materials and supplies for the organization
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Identify and resolve any issues with orders, such as discrepancies in quantity or quality
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss
  • Use inventory management software to track and manage stock levels
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, supply chain efficiency, and procurement costs
  • Comply with all safety and regulatory standards in material handling and storage
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and finance, to forecast future material needs
  • Participate in the development and implementation of material management policies and procedure

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain and manage inventory of materials and supplies.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and analyze inventory levels.
  • Forecast supply needs based on project requirements and timelines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and manage deliveries.
  • Perform regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize storage areas for optimal efficiency, maintaining cleanliness and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with team members regarding material needs and availability.
  • Prepare and present reports on inventory levels and consumption.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and regulations pertaining to materials management.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to current procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Material Management Technician or similar role
  • Proficiency in inventory management software
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Experience with purchasing and procurement procedures
  • High school diploma; further education in logistics or relevant field will be appreciated
