The Materials Technician - Stock is responsible for managing the issuance, receipts, and returns of materials physically, performing accurate SAP data transaction entry and maintaining detailed stock records. The role involves receiving and handling bulk chemical deliveries, and ensures that accurate records of the quantities and location of all items are maintained.

   Job-Specific Responsibilities
  
   Administration
  
- 
   Carry out formalities required in issuance, receipts, and returns, including real-time data entry in SAP, work orders / material reservation processing and closing, material inspection intimation and follow-ups, Overage, Shortage & Damage (OS&D) preparation, material labeling, and tag generation.
  
- 
   Process Material Receipt Voucher (MRV) for invoices involving payment and send them to Finance for final payment processing.
  
   Bulk Chemical Deliveries
  
- 
   Receive bulk chemical tankers, prepare gate passes, weigh bulk tanker deliveries, and obtain necessary approvals from safety and operations departments.
  
   Inventory Management
  
- 
   Support stock checks and inventory reviews to determine material holdings, performing stock counts and assisting in reconciling inventory variances (incl. year-end and perpetual inventory counts to resolve discrepancies and finalize items for write-off).
  
- 
   Conduct complete cycle activities for consumables, PPE, spare parts, and chemicals to measure inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies before year-end stock taking.
  
- 
   Submit noted discrepancy lists and final discrepancy reports to Materials Controller.
  
- 
   Maintain detailed stock records and operate control systems to ensure required materials levels.
  
   Issue Control
  
- 
   Issue materials according to approved procedures, as per work orders & reservations ensuring requisitions and authorized deliveries are correctly processed.
  
   Permits Administration
  
- 
   Obtain and process permit approvals from safety, i.e., cold work, vehicle entry permits, crane lifting / load charts and other permits required for executing required task.
  
- 
   Ensures proper permit closing after job completion and filing.
  
   Documentation
  
- 
   Maintain files and records for gate passes, material issuance, receipt & return vouchers, permits, and material receipt vouchers (MRV) along with other copies of supporting documents, i.e., invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, certificate of conformity / completion, MSDS, Airwaybills, etc.
  
   Reporting
  
- 
   Submit monthly data on warehouse activities and KPIs for the completion of monthly operational reports
  
   Materials Labelling
  
- 
   Ensures all materials entering or leaving the warehouse are correctly labelled for identification with their assigned storage locations in the warehouse for traceability.

  JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
   Minimum Qualifications:
  
- 
   Diploma in an Engineering Discipline / Supply Chain Management.
  
   Minimum Experience:
  
- 
   Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position at an oil & gas or petrochemical company.
