Math and Reading Tutor / Grader / Assistant / Teacher - Kumon

Location: Huntington Beach – South (Adams & Magnolia)

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Part-Time Learning Center Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity for responsible high school seniors, college students, retired educators, or anyone seeking a meaningful part-time role supporting students.

Required Qualifications

• Long-term commitment required (year-round position)
• Comfortable working with young children (preschool age and up)
• Strong communication, observation, and instructional skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask efficiently
• Able to follow direction and work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Kumon or tutoring experience
• Experience working with early learners
• Background in early childhood education or a related field
• Strong proficiency in high school-level math

Job Responsibilities

• Grade homework and classwork accurately and efficiently
• Guide and assist students with their class assignments
• Check students in and out and complete basic data entry
• Prepare instructional materials for in-center and at-home use
• Support daily learning center operations as needed

Work Schedule

• Mondays: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM (required)
• Wednesdays: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Thursdays: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM (required)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
