Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic High School Mathematics Tutor to inspire and empower students in their academic journey. PA Teaching certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet individual student needs across multiple math topics
• Utilize innovative learning technologies to enhance understanding and engagement during tutoring sessions.
• Deliver clear explanations of complex concepts of algebra, geometry etc.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative assessments and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere for students working with diverse learning styles and backgrounds, including those in special education or early childhood education programs.
• Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student progress reports, and lesson plans to ensure consistent quality of instruction.

Experience

• Prior experience tutoring or teaching high school students in mathematics or related STEM fields such as physics or biology is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that covers algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, discrete math, and other advanced topics.
• Strong computer skills with familiarity in educational software tools and online learning platforms.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in classroom settings or one-on-one tutoring environments.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques that promote engagement and discipline while fostering a love for learning.
• Background in higher education teaching or specialized fields like mechanical engineering or biochemistry is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex ideas to students with varying levels of understanding.
