Math Instructor (Algebra / Geometry / Algebra II, AP Preferred)
Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related STEM field also accepted
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience with middle school and high school math students
- Strong ability to teach Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II; ability to teach AP-level math courses is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred but not required
- Strong content knowledge, clear logical thinking, and well-structured lesson delivery
- Positive attitude, professional work ethic, and reliable attendance
Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans in advance based on the assigned curriculum and individual student needs
- Teach assigned math courses (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II; AP courses if qualified) in 1:1 or small-group settings
- Develop personalized learning plans and adjust instruction according to student progress
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to support student achievement
- Provide timely written lesson feedback and progress updates after each session
- Monitor student performance regularly and communicate effectively with students, parents, and the academic team
- Maintain accurate lesson records and teaching documentation
- Create a supportive, engaging, and well-managed learning environment
- Collaborate with the academic team on curriculum planning and instructional improvement
- Participate in training, curriculum development, and teaching research to enhance instructional quality
- Assist with online lesson delivery and occasional demo lesson recordings
- Support department initiatives and other teaching-related tasks as needed

Pay: $33.00 - $50.00 per hour
