Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Math / Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in a vibrant learning environment. Duties
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans incorporating core concepts such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math to meet educational standards.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that integrate modern learning technology to enhance understanding of scientific principles including cell biology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, organic chemistry, and physics.
- Conduct laboratory experiments involving dissection, microbiology techniques, molecular research, and scientific research projects to deepen practical understanding.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and classroom participation; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and curiosity among students.
- Mentor students individually or in groups on academic topics such as differential equations, proofing mathematical proofs, or research projects; prepare them for higher education or careers in STEM fields.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives and participate in professional development activities related to instructional design and educational best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports; communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Science Education or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven classroom experience teaching math or science at middle school or high school levels; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of core subjects including algebra, geometry, calculus, organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology and differential equations.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Proficiency with learning technology tools such as interactive whiteboards, online assessment platforms and virtual labs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and motivate students effectively.
- Skilled in classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and engagement.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to support student success.
- Background in research laboratory work or scientific research projects is highly desirable.
