Job Summary
Eye Level Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Teacher to teach students from basic foundational math through Grade 8 mathematics. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematics background and a passion for helping children develop confidence and problem-solving skills.
Teachers will work in a small-group setting with up to 4 students per class, providing individualized instruction and support based on each student's learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach math concepts ranging from basic arithmetic and number sense to Grade 8-level mathematics.
- Provide individualized instruction based on student skill levels and learning goals.
- Guide students through the Eye Level Math curriculum.
- Help students develop strong computational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate professionally with parents and center staff regarding student progress.
- Encourage student confidence, independence, and academic growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, Elementary Education, Engineering, Science, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics from foundational skills through Grade 8 curriculum.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience with elementary and middle school students preferred.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Patient, organized, dependable, and passionate about education.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching or tutoring in a classroom, learning center, or educational program.
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and individualized learning plans.
- Experience preparing students for academic success in school mathematics.
